Note: excursion begins at 6.45 a.m. However, if you rented a car, you can go to Samana by yourself and it's not necessary to get up so early. You can start your trip at 9 a.m., it takes approximately 2 hours to get to Samana, you will have enough time to go over the whole Samana peninsula and visit the famous El Limon waterfall which is approximately half way from Samana city to Las Terenas

On the way to Samana we recomend you to stop to have a cup of coffe in Cabrera - cosy town on the North Coast. It is very nice small town Mediterranian style with a restaurant directly on the rocks

Few miles before Cabrera there is another very nice place- beach El Breton. Don't miss the turn to the beach on the end of village named Abreu. The beach has several waterfalls falling down from the rocks, you can take a shower with fresh water after swimming in the ocean.

You can easy go there by car. It is about 40 min of drive from Sol Bonito. The beach is very popular on holidays and weekends, better go there on working days. There is a small restaurant directly on the beach. There is two beaches named Playa Grande one by the other. The first is with restaurant and you can drive directly to the beach on your can. The second one is very near, you can leave your car on the cliff, go down, and make your own barbeque on the beach.
